6 inch hand forged Froe -- Handle not Included

This beautifully made, hand-forged Froe is a traditional tool that will last for years. The wedge shaped 6" blade is made in the USA just for basket and chair makers and is the ideal tool for splitting billit-size white oak or black ash.

You will have to provide your own handle. The eye of the froe is tapered so the handle will not slide out when the froe is in use. You should be able to find a handle at your local hardware store. Tip: A post hole digger handle cut to 14" in length will provide all the leverage you will need.
