Basketworks: The Cotsen Contemporary American Basket Collection

You'll be awed at the collection of contemporary baskets presented to the Racine Art Museum by collector Lloyd Cotsen. Cotsen's collection includes over 150 baskets by 74, primarily American women, artists at work during the 1980s and 1990s.

Included are works of traditional techniques and materials as well as baskets made "in innovative ways from a host of non-traditional materials".

This twenty-page study-guide published by RAM includes 15 color photos. A unique addition to the publication is Executive Director Bruce Pepich's interview about collecting with Lloyd Cotsen.
