Ridge Weave Basket Pattern

"Through my intense study of Japanese basketry I have discovered many unusual and interesting techinques and ridge weave is one that l've been experimenting with for a while. In this Ridge Weave Basket, the closely spaced spokes are woven with chasing weave - one set of firmer weavers establishing the ridges, the other more flexible weaver keeping the ridges in place. The two sets of spokes are incorporated into the top band of 3-rod wale, then woven into an unusual double rolled border." -- Flo Hoppe.
