Cynthia's Bluegrass Purse Basket Pattern

This elegant purse pattern is for the intermediate weaver. Inspired by her love of riding horses and an appreciation of fine Nantucket baskets, Cynthia Riffe of Scottsville, Kentucky designed this purse basket to be stylish and practical. It’s sleek like a thoroughbred with the feel of a supple leather rein for a strap "what woman doesn’t want to feel she’s in control?" asks Riffe, a creative mother of three. Woven from a slotted wooden base with flat oval staves and weavers of cane and #2 round reed, the purse features a leather strap and leather rim filler. Size 12'' long x 5.5'' wide x 8'' tall.
