Here's what author, Judith Olney tells us about her wonderfully written Squashy Baskets pattern:  "This basket is an extreme version of the cat head Sosse Baker taught me. I use this basket as a vehicle for teaching weaving control techniques to basketmakers who already have some experience, but I've also taught it to beginners quite successfully. These instructions are very lengthy since they not only tell you what to do, but also how to do it. Please read them all the way through before starting on your Squashy."
