Register today for the Soteria Green Basket Workshop at the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library in Glasgow, Kentucky!

This easy-to-make shopping basket was designed to promote the philosophy of reuse and recycling and to celebrate my sister’s Health Food Store, in White House, Tennessee. Sister Mary and I designed ‘Soteria Green’ to fit behind the driver’s seat or in the trunk of your car. The Shaker Tape handles and braided seagrass add a unique look. Class includes first quality reed materials and students will have many color choices for adding dyed reed and Shaker Tape. A great beginner-level basket, the Soteria Green is practical and good looking; it’s a basket you’ll truly enjoy using at home, on the road and at the grocery. Size: 7" x 11" x 10" high.

$70.00. Fee includes materials, pattern, materials preparation, use of tools, and instruction fee.

Students should bring:
Students should bring the following if they have the supplies on hand. I will bring some extra tools, so no one needs to go out and purchase any supplies in order to attend.

• Scissors or shears
• Flexible measuring tape
• A dozen or so plastic cable ties
• Sharp carving knife or pocket knife
• A dozen or so spring-type clothespins
• An old towel
• Apron (optional)
• Container to hold water (two gallons or so)
• Spray bottle for water
• Pencil
• Medium grit sandpaper (small piece)
• Basketry Packing Tool or Bone Folder
