Homemakers Basket Kit with Swing Handle

A fairly quick basket to make with wooden slotted base and pretty 12 inch oak swing handle. Kit includes first quality reed material, braided seagrass, dyed and natural reed, handcrafted Oak Swing Handle, wooden base and pattern sheet.  This basket was made for Janis Steele, president of the Meador Homemaker Club. The Homemaker's organization in Allen County, Kentucky is an informal educational organization designed to help its members gain knowledge and skills to improve the quality of life for themselves, their families and their communities. It's truly a great group of women who join together to learn and share ideas about health, the environment, managing resources and cultural arts (including basket making and quilting arts).
