Using a pre-drilled 6" wooden base and two sizes of reed material you can experience a bit of weaving while creating this easy-to-make basket.

With a little guidance from someone older, this is an excellent project for kids. Imagine dad or mom or uncle or grandparent spending time with family--working together on a simple project.
