GENUINE WHITE OAK SPLITS - Limited Availability

Use these White Oak Splits to weave beautiful baskets that will last for generations. White Oak Splits, available exclusively from GH Productions, are rived and split by hand. They are a premium basket weaving material. The age-old process of splitting white oak by hand assures that each split is beautiful, flexible and incredibly strong. Splits are sold by the 1/2 pound coil with approximately 60 - 70 ft. per coil. Each split is 3/8" to 1/2" in width. Width may vary slightly because they are made entirely by hand.

Preparing your Splits for weaving is SIMPLE! Just soak Splits for 10 minutes in warm water, scrape them on both sides, and cut them with scissors to the width you desire. We recommend our Swedish Sloyd Knife for scraping splits.

POUNDED BROWN (BLACK) ASH SPLINT

Use this ash splint to create beautiful baskets! Splints are smooth on both sides and especially prepared for refined work. Satin finish. Mini Splint is recommended for miniature baskets up to 3 inches. Use the Small Splint for baskets up to 12 inches.
