Create a great basket that’s perfect for the Farmer’s Market and other shopping adventures! Enjoy making this generously-sized easy-to-make basket using natural reed, dyed reed, and paper splint; the set of leather handles add a great look, and they are so practical! The basket measures 13” x 5” at the base and stands 13” tall (not including the handles). In this workshop, students will learn shaping techniques and how to create perfect rims and attach leather handles. Join the fun for a day of weaving in Historic Rugby on the beautiful Cumberland Plateau and enjoy your basket for years to come.
With special gratitude to Lynne Ferguson, Artist in Residence, Kentucky Museum for her inspiration in developing this workshop.
