Enjoy a March weekend at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Western North Carolina!

Immerse yourself in learning basic basketry techniques of plain weave, filled bottom, shaping, rim preparation and lashing.  Using first quality smoked and natural reed materials you'll create a generously-sized basket, adding 2 beautifully handcrafted White Oak Swing Handles made in Allen County, Kentucky.  Basket Size:  12" x 18" x 8" tall.  Designed in memory of our special friend, Janice Walden, this basket is practical as well as good-looking and you'll find that you reach for it time and time again; it's great for shopping, for travel and other adventures.  This easy-to-make basket is a perfect weekend project.

Enroll today to make the Basket for Janice.  Workshop recommended for confident beginning to intermediate basket weavers.
