Create a basket that’s perfect for gathering eggs or holding your sewing projects. In this workshop you’ll learn techniques used by traditional basketmakers in South Central Kentucky -- the Kentucky-style ‘eye’ and carving ribs. The Melon-shaped Egg Basket is easy-to-make and recommended for beginner to intermediate level weavers; the spherical shape makes this the simplest egg basket. Hoops are solid oak; ribs and weavers are natural reed material. Students may add rows of color using dyed or smoked reed if desired. Size: 10 inch diameter.
