Black Ash Basketry Workshops with Alice Ogden

July 27 and 28, 2018   •   The Basket Maker’s Catalog   •   Scottsville, Kentucky

Choose from four workshops with master black ash weaver Alice Ogden of Salisbury, New Hampshire.  Spend time with a small group of fellow weavers working with fine black ash materials, hand harvested and prepared by Alice and her husband, Brad.  Choose from one-day or two-day workshops.  The Medium Gardener’s Pick and the Back Pack with Leather Strap are offered to students of all levels.  Skilled weavers may choose from the two-day workshops as well—either the intricate Oval Feather Basket or the Shaker Cheese-Weave Tub.  You’ll appreciate Alice’s teaching style and her depth of knowledge.  In addition you’ll enjoy working with her ash splints and her trademark hand-carved oak handles and rims.  Alice’s baskets are especially prized by collectors all over the country for their traditional craftsmanship.   Make your choices and register today!

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity in Scottsville, Kentucky to work with Alice, weave on a mold, and create some treasures.  We hope to see you in July!  Call today to register 1-800-447-7008.
